We are pleased to share a new release in our Informit Expert video series: Dr. Tim Thornton from the Journal of Australian Political Economy. Dr. Thornton discusses the political economy, interest rates, inflation, deflation, unemployment and wages with us, offering insights that are both enlightening and thought-provoking.
Dr. Thornton is also the Director of the School of Political Economy in Melbourne, a Senior Research Fellow with the Economics in Context Initiative, which is part of Boston University’s Global Development Policy Centre, and a researcher with the Global Development and Environment Institute at Tufts University, Boston.
The Journal of Australian Political Economy was established in 1977 and provides political economic perspectives on contemporary capitalism.
“The Journal of Australian Political Economy is broader, and more plural and interdisciplinary focused than most economic journals. The journal continues to foster debates about the interactions between capital, technology, the state and the environment, particularly in an Australian context, and is designed to cater to both a specialist academic readership but also a general audience.” Dr. Thornton says.
