Dr. John Doolah is a proud Torres Strait Islander Meriam-Samsep man of Eastern Torres Strait heritage. John was a course coordinator and he lectured in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander studies at the University of Newcastle for more than 7 years.

John was a course coordinator and he lectured in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander studies at the University of Newcastle for more than 7 years. He is currently a Ngarrngga Post Doctoral Fellow and lectures at the University of Melbourne at the Faculty of Education.
